Artist Feature: Simon Templar

One genre that has been somewhat lost over the past few years as the commercial EDM sounds have risen is what I consider the truest sound of electronic music, Trance. It’s what originally inspired me to get into dj’ing, and many of its melodic elements continue to find their way into my production work with every project I do.

Thankfully, there are a few artists today that are bringing back those beautiful melodies and soundscapes that are such a big part of the genre. One artist in particular who’s tracks continue to amaze is Simon Templar. His music is understated, raw and powerful and are what I consider to be definitive of what Deep Trance and Progressive Trance really are.
